Jeanette Abundis MSN RN CNS is the senior director of Emergency and Critical Care Services at PIH Health Whittier Hospital and PIH Health Downey Hospital. In her current role, Abundis is responsible for the successful operations at PIH Health Whittier Hospital including its 65-bed emergency department including paramedic base station, ST-elevation myocardial infarction and Comprehensive Stroke receiving center(s), a 48-bed Critical Care Unit (CCU)/Intensive Care Unit (ICU), as well as the Vascular Access team. She also oversees the operations at PIH Health Downey Hospital including its 33-bed ED, basic stroke receiving center and a 22-bed CCU/ICU.
An innovative nurse leader with a strong clinical and administrative background in emergency, trauma services, critical care, emergency preparedness, behavioral health, medical-surgical and service line development, Abundis possesses an expertise in staff development, regulatory compliance and program design and implementation.
