RYAN WELLER JOINS AO, STRENGTHENING DIRECT RETAIL EXPERTISE
Leading full-service architecture firm, AO, is pleased to welcome Ryan Weller as principal in the firm’s Retail Studio. Ryan brings deep expertise in leading national and international rollout programs for some of the world’s most recognized brands.
Ryan will lead AO’s Retail Brand Experience team, focused on developing experiential retail spaces that align with evolving consumer expectations. His addition bolsters AO’s already established retail studio, enhancing its capabilities in high-end tenant improvements, brand standards, and multisite development.
Throughout his career, Ryan has led the design and execution of over 300 high-end retail projects across the U.S., becoming known for his ability to structure and scale teams tailored to client needs. His strengths include prototypical design, brand consistency, and precision coordination—ensuring speed-to-market and efficient delivery. Prior to joining AO, Ryan held leadership roles at respected firms in Southern California and St. Louis, MO. His commitment to architectural excellence extends far beyond the workplace. Some of his notable affiliations include his membership with the US Green Building Council (USGBC), managing the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB)’s Intern Development Program, and being named a LEED Green Associate by the Missouri Gateway Chapter. He received his bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
