Alison Plessman has established herself as a top litigator, representing clients in high stakes matters, including securities fraud, copyright infringement, wildfire litigation, trade secret theft, breach of contract and professional negligence matters, and white collar defense.
In June 2021, Plessman obtained a significant victory for her clients in the California Court of Appeal, when the Court of Appeal affirmed a trial court decision she secured in July 2020 granting a preliminary injunction against SweeGen, Inc. in favor of its minority shareholders in an action asserting derivative and direct claims alleging breaches of fiduciary duties, self-dealing, and securities fraud. A few months prior, in February 2021, she further defeated SweeGen’s demurrer on all grounds. Plessman also currently represents Pacific Power and PacifiCorp as lead counsel in seventeen wildfire matters, including a proposed class action involving more than 2,500 putative class members.
