A prominent land use lawyer with extensive experience working with local jurisdictions and state, regional and federal agencies to secure regulatory approvals, David Goldberg has played a key role in helping many high-profile clients navigate planning and zoning regulations and environmental challenges, allowing projects up and down the state to be brought to a successful conclusion. He also is one of the state’s foremost experts in the California Coastal Act, representing clients on complicated permitting and enforcement matters before the California Coastal Commission.
Goldberg currently is working to create a transit-oriented mixed-use development at the LA County Metro North Hollywood station comprised of 1.5 million square feet of residential, office and retail/restaurant uses, through his representation of Trammell Crow in its joint development with LA County Metro. In September 2023, he assisted in obtaining the Los Angeles City Planning Commission’s recommendation that the City Council approve the project.
