By the time he turned 40, Alexander Porter had already earned the distinction of belonging to a small group of trial lawyers with real first-chair trial experience, handling litigation matters from inception, through trial and appeal.
Prior to joining his current firm of Davis Wright Tremaine, Porter served as an assistant United States attorney in the Major Frauds Section of the US Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles and trial attorney with the Fraud Section of the US Department of Justice, establishing his reputation as one of the leading white-collar and government fraud lawyers in the country. He has led enforcement matters from the investigation phase, bringing them in front of juries and handling appeals in the US Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. Today, Porter represents clients across various industries, including healthcare, financial services, media and technology industries, in high stakes government investigations and complex litigation matters.
