During the past 18 months, Veronica Arteaga, LCSW, has led Exceptional Children’s Foundation through one of the most consequential periods in its 80 year history—combining measurable service outcomes, fiscal discipline, independent accreditation, philanthropic growth, and public advocacy on behalf of people with developmental disabilities and their families.
As president and CEO, Arteaga directs one of Southern California’s most comprehensive nonprofit providers of lifespan disability services: a $27 million organization operating across 14 Los Angeles County service locations, with approximately 350 employees, a 24-member Board of Directors, and programs reaching nearly 4,000 children, adults, and family members annually.
