Mark Anthony Wilson, Jr., has spent more than two decades building opportunities for South Los Angeles residents in the community where he was raised. In 2005, he co-founded the Coalition for Responsible Community Development (CRCD) alongside Ruth M. Teague, Noemi Soto, Fernando Miranda, and Hugo Ortiz. He served as CRCD’s executive director for its first decade and now leads CRCD and its related entities as President and CEO.
Under Wilson’s leadership, CRCD has grown from a community- based organization focused primarily on young people in Vernon- Central into a comprehensive community development organization addressing housing, education, employment, small business growth, and neighborhood investment. CRCD has grown to an ecosystem of approximately 250 employees and a $60 million annual budget.
