Cory Fights Back
Cory Fights Back is one of Howard Grobstein’s most meaningful and successful accomplishments to date. Founded in loving memory of his fiancée, Cory Zera, after her courageous battle with ovarian cancer, the nonprofit reflects Howard’s ability to turn personal loss into purposeful action. Within months of Cory’s passing in February 2025, he moved the organization from concept to execution.
Under Grobstein’s guidance, Cory Fights Back held its inaugural fundraising event on October 4, 2025, benefiting the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition and generating nearly $160,000 through sponsorships, ticket sales, auction participation, and individual donations. In its first year, the foundation also built an active social media presence, shared stories from individuals affected by ovarian cancer, expanded community awareness, and developed partnerships.
