Los Angeles Police Museum executive director Erica Arias founded two successful nonprofit and business development consulting firms with targeted focus on governance, business planning, strategic planning, and board development. She has been a champion for small businesses and nonprofits instructing business management and leadership courses in partnership with the University of Southern California. She became the first Mexican American woman to lead one of the four LAPD nonprofit affiliate organizations.
Arias secured $1.2 million dollars in highly specialized research project funding for special projects under the dean of the faculty’s office at Claremont McKenna College. She successfully reconstructed the Los Angeles Police Museum’s fiscal planning and business structure through innovative budget revisions and thoughtful partnerships. She has lead successful campaigns for consulting clients resulting in a collective $2.5 million raised in two years.
