With a focus on complex commercial litigation that often involves bet-the-company matters, Karen Ding is a core member of teams on many of Hueston Hennigan’s highest profile victories. Her practice ranges from antitrust, false advertising and trade secrets cases, to breach of contract, class action and False Claims Act disputes.
In September 2025, Ding successfully defended Amazon and three Amazon executives against a historic FTC lawsuit targeting its Prime membership. Described as a win for Amazon in the press and by other commentators, the case settled after three days of trial with no admissions of liability. Ding also was on the team that prevailed at the California Court of Appeal for McDonald’s, persuading the court in March 2025 to unanimously affirm the dismissal of a $100 million fraud suit.
