Daniel H. Ahn is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Reed Smith and helps lead the firm’s white-collar practice on the West Coast. He is an accomplished trial and appellate lawyer and nationally recognized investigations partner as well as former supervisory federal prosecutor who represents clients in sensitive internal and regulatory investigations, complex commercial and criminal litigation, and high-stakes trials and appeals.
Recognized by The Legal 500 for his work in corporate investigations and white-collar criminal defense, Ahn is known for his strong experience from the Department of Justice and his exceptional judgment. He also possesses particular expertise in FCPA matters involving Asia, state attorney general matters and False Claims Act actions. Ahn is one of only a handful of Korean Americans who held high-ranking positions at the US Department of Justice and who now leads a white-collar practice at a major law firm.
