Jennifer Romano, a litigation partner in Crowell’s Los Angeles office, serves as co-chair of the firm’s Litigation & Trial Department, and is a member of the firm’s Management Board. Romano focuses her practice on defending companies against consumer class actions, litigating on behalf of health care companies, and representing companies in high stakes litigation matters. She represents clients as both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration and mediation. Her clients include major health plans, retail and consumer products companies, and professional services firms.
Romano has served as lead counsel on a number of successful cases. For example, on behalf of Planned Parenthood, a team co-led by Romano challenged the legislation in Kentucky federal court as unconstitutional and obtained both a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction blocking the law’s enforcement until the state’s trigger law banning abortion in most circumstances took effect.
