One of California’s leading litigators, Scott Malzahn is managing partner of Waymaker LLP. He has a complex commercial litigation practice that spans intellectual property, fintech and class actions in the securities arena.
Malzahn has won cases at every level, from arbitrations to federal and state appellate courts. Earlier this year, he and the Waymaker team won a $18.3 million award in a trade secret theft case. In addition to his trial experience, Malzahn has handled high-profile disputes through motion practice before the trial court and on appeal. He crafted the winning legal arguments adopted unanimously by the California Supreme Court in a decision that established a new legal test to govern anti- SLAPP cases under the catchall provision.
