Hope the Mission
Under president Rowan Vansleve’s leadership, Hope the Mission has expanded to become one of the largest rescue missions in the United States, providing over 2,700 beds and serving 2.5 million meals annually.
Vansleve co-led a high-profile, 3,600-mile bike ride from Santa Monica to Washington, D.C., which raised substantial funds and garnered national attention. The campaign attracted thousands of new donors and caught the attention of Congress, resulting in $850,000 in earmark funding for permanent housing solutions for seniors. He also spearheaded the introduction of Tiny Home Villages in Los Angeles in partnership with the local City Council members, a unique project that now provides nearly 1,000 beds.
