Deborah Marcus is an executive in the CAA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of CAA. Sitting at the intersection of entertainment and education, Marcus helps drive transformational change through private and public partnerships.
Marcus’ accomplishments are reflected in the launch of Roybal Film and Television Magnet High School in Los Angeles. Stemming from client George Clooney’s desire to diversify the sets of major film and tv productions, Marcus helped build out a strategy to ensure students from historically underrepresented communities in entertainment graduate high school both college and career ready, turning to relationships and clients within the education space and Hollywood, including the Los Angeles Unified School District, the US Department of Education, unions, major studios, and media companies.
