In the 11 years since Chris Cho joined Hanmi Bank, he has consistently grown the portfolio he manages by 50-100% annually. By 2021, he had increased that portfolio by 3000%, which led to his promotion to executive vice president, responsible for not only the Corporate Banking Center II, but with additional responsibility for overseeing the bank’s eastern region, Chicago, and Virginia locations.
Together with this team he has grown loan commitments, balances and deposits across all locations. Cho grew the loan and deposit business portfolio by 50 times over the course of 11 years, despite market conditions or regional challenges. His vision has not only expanded Hanmi’s services but also introduced new lines of business, such as the launch of Asset-Based Lending services.
