As managing partner of Latham & Watkins’ Los Angeles and Century City offices, Jeff Bjork coordinates the efforts of more than 250 lawyers and the professionals who support them while maintaining an industry-leading restructuring and bankruptcy practice, in which he represents public and private companies, creditors, and investors in all aspects of restructuring matters. With more than 27 years in practice, Bjork advises companies on successful strategies to address mass tort and legacy liabilities, including asbestos, environmental and product related liabilities, and has represented clients in numerous mass tort bankruptcies. Among his notable practice work, Bjork served as co-lead counsel in the landmark Chapter 11 restructuring of Mallinckrodt— a multibillion-dollar biopharmaceutical company facing thousands of opioid-related lawsuits and $5 billion in funded debt.
