Brian R. Michael is a partner in Morrison Foerster’s Investigations + White Collar Defense Group and the chair of the firm’s Global Ethics + Compliance practice. Draw-ing on more than 25 years of experience as an in-house leader, in private practice, and as a federal prosecutor in the Southern District of New York and the Central District of California, Michael is routinely engaged to represent entities and individuals in high-profile, high-stakes white collar criminal cases, internal investigations, securities and regulatory enforcement matters, complex litigation, and trials. Michael’s practice also focuses on providing crisis management and compliance counseling, including on anti-corruption, cybersecurity, FinTech, blockchain technology, trade sanctions and workplace conduct.
