Erica Bose has built a reputation in California for representing developers of all sizes, as well as various equity providers, in connection with their acquisition, disposition, and development of real estate assets. She has carved out a niche over the last 20 years representing capital providers and to a lesser degree, builders, in the land bank financing arena and homebuilders in their acquisition of properties.
Bose started representing clients in land bank finance transactions both inside and outside of California back in 2002. Since then, the land banking industry has gained widespread popularity homebuilders, many of which are gravitating towards a “land light” business model in which the builder does not hold legal title to land during the horizontal development stage of homebuilding. This trend has allowed some of the nation’s largest homebuilders to significantly increase their output, and Bose has been extensively involved in facilitating many of these transactions.
