Born and raised in Japan and fluent in Japanese, Kayo
M. Elkner is a principal in the Accounting and Tax
Departments of Prager Metis, a member of Prager
Metis International Group, and an accomplished CPA
with over 20 years of experience in the accounting
industry. Elkner specializes in accounting and tax ser-
vices to individuals and closely held businesses, and has
prepared individual, corporate, S corporation and part-
nership income tax returns for clients in the US and
internationally, including Japanese clients headquar-
tered in Hawaii and California. Elkner is also a member
of Prager Metis’ Japan group.
Elkner’s leadership skills and technical abilities were
quickly recognized, leading to her current role at the
company. Her influence extends to the Japanese Global
Services Group, where she plays a key role in bridging
cultural gaps and fostering collaboration.
