Rick Schenkel cofounded the firm of Sobul, Primes & Schenkel in 1981, and has been the managing shareholder of the firm for many years. As managing shareholder, Schenkel has continually pushed the firm forward, evolving over the years, and adapting to change quickly when needed. Schenkel created the entertainment industry niche within the firm and also started the firm’s business management practice which today represents over half of its business activity.
As the managing shareholder of the firm, Schenkel has also continually stressed giving back to the com- munity as a critically important aspect of the firm. He has personally been involved with a number of chari- ties over the years, including the Water Buffalo Club (WBC), where Schenkel is a former president of the organization and currently the treasurer. The group has helped hundreds of under the radar charities in LA, all of which help children in need in LA.
