Melissa Harman’s strength in accounting is her focus on people – whether it’s co-workers, clients or the broader community. From her first accounting class in high school, she knew that this was what she’d do for the rest of her life. Today as a partner at Moss Adams, Harman serves as a leader on the innovation committee, continually coming up with creative solutions to ensure the staff members are focusing on the development of their careers and less on logistics. She ensures that the firm has the best and most innovative technologies to not only improve the work environment of her colleagues, but also to the benefit of her clients. Additionally, she is leading the firm’s data initiative to digitize not only the audit platform but the entire firm. Despite her accomplishments, she continually pushes herself to be a better leader.
