Frances Ellington, DBA, CPA, is a partner and the State and Local Tax Practice leader at GHJ. She has more than a decade of state and local tax experience with national, Big Four and multinational companies. Her past roles included three international rotations providing training and development to team members in India.
As a strategic advisor, Ellington identifies state and local tax planning opportunities that will maximize tax benefits and savings for each client. She serves a variety of industries, including entertainment and media, manufacturing, retail, technology, transportation and wholesale distribution. She is an agile leader within GHJ’s Business Disruption Task Force, which was formed during COVID to keep businesses informed of tax changes and other updates. She is also regularly consulted on tax concepts by clients, accounting colleagues and media, from local newspapers to international podcasts. She recently published articles in LexisNexis and Sage Publications.
