HCVT has cultivated a culture focused on belonging. Atikah Bholat has played a key role in helping the firm establish and nurture efforts to create a more diverse and equitable work environment, a goal that HCVT has valued and prioritized since its founding
in 1991. Bholat co-leads the firm’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiative, which was founded in 2020. This group develops goals and specific action plans that support social and racial justice.
Since the group’s inception, Bholat has contributed to creating and implementing many DEI initiatives, including conducting an internal climate survey to assess how our team members feel about diversity, equity, inclusion, and engagement; continuously evaluating our recruiting strategy to ensure we are reaching diverse populations; and investing in internal training programs about unconscious bias, the LGBTQIA community, working in a multi-generational workforce, and monthly DEI-focused micro-learning modules and facilitated discussions on DEI topics.
