Misty de Lamare is Director of Communications at L.A. Care Health Plan, the nation’s largest publicly operated health plan, serving more than 2.5 million members in Los Angeles County. In this role, she is responsible for the organization’s internal and external communications, corporate messaging, community relations, digital properties, social media, media relations, sponsorships program, video production, provider communications, COVID-19 communications and issues management. She is a leader of the health plan’s Women in Leadership Employee Resource Group and the COVID-19 Vaccine Command Center, an inaugural member of its Mentorship program, and a member of the health plan’s Member Equity Council.  Ms. de Lamare joined L.A. Care in 2006 and has held a variety of communications positions. She holds a master’s degree in public relations from Syracuse University.

Misty de Lamare has been Director of Communications at L.A. Care since 2016, and she has held a variety of communications roles since she joined the health plan in 2006. She is a leader of the health plan’s Women in Leadership Employee Resource Group and the COVID-19 Vaccine Command Center, an inaugural member of its Mentorship program, and a member of the health plan’s Member Equity Council. Misty spends most weekends at Disneyland with her children, and she loves to travel to places both near and far.
