For more than 15 years, Antelope Valley Medical Center’s (AVMC’s) Comprehensive Cancer Center Program has served as a vital lifeline for patients and families navigating cancer care. AVMC’s strength is rooted in collaboration – bringing together physicians, nurses, oncology specialists, diagnostic teams, registry professionals, and support staff to deliver a coordinated, patient-centered experience that spans across prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.
Through strategic partnerships with City of Hope, the American Cancer Society, and the Antelope Valley YMCA, AVMC delivers a comprehensive, community-centered approach to cancer care – integrating advanced clinical treatment with patient navigation, supportive services, and wellness resources that address the full continuum of healing. This collaborative approach ensures that every patient receives not only advanced, evidence-based care, but also navigation, education, and supportive services that remove barriers and improve outcomes.
In partnership with the Antelope Valley City of Hope, AVMC has established a multidisciplinary care model in which experts collaborate to develop fully personalized treatment plans for each patient – ensuring care that is coordinated, thoughtful, and effective. This team-based approach ensures each patient benefits from collective expertise rather than isolated care delivery.
With grant support from the American Cancer Society, AVMC offers transportation assistance – including gas cards – to help patients attend critical appointments and maintain continuity of care.
