On November 3, 2020, Lula Davis-Holmes became Carson’s first black female Mayor. A 47-year resident, she served over a decade as a City Councilmember, focusing on housing, financial stability, and community programs. As Mayor, she passed a balanced budget, supported local hiring, and advanced public safety and homelessness initiatives.
