For KPMG, community impact is more than just charitable giving and volunteering. Community impact is a critical part of the KPMG culture and how the firm lives out its values. KPMG’s people work together, for better, each and every day to make a difference in their communities and create a lasting impact that is measurable, sustainable and transformational. This year marked the firm’s 125th anniversary, a significant milestone celebrating the firm’s history and the impact KPMG has had on the world and the many communities it serves. On August 2nd, more than 500 of KPMG’s team from the Los Angeles office came together for Community Impact Day to support the community where they live and work.
The enthusiastic and philanthropic KPMG employees teamed up with six organizations, including the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles, Heal the Bay, KPMG’s Family for Literacy, Operation Gratitude and the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles. Ultimately, the team contributed over 1000 volunteer hours to the Los Angeles community and its benevolent organizations.
In addition to Community Impact Day, KPMG enables its partners and professionals to give back to their communities in a meaningful way throughout the year. This year, the firm donated 1000 books to the Los Angeles Unified School District, contributed over $550,000 to local charities, and awarded 15 community impact grants.
