As leader of RSM’s Southwest region, Joe Mazza directs growth development
and spearheads the firm’s business initiatives. A member of the West Region Management Team, he also integrates firmwide business strategy with that of RSM’s West Region offices, ensuring common objectives and mutual support with the offices under his supervision. Mazza is a past member of the Board of Directors of RSM and has over 30 years of diversified public and private accounting experience, serving both public and privately held middle-market companies.

Mazza has provided audit and management advisory services to clients in a wide range of industries, including consumer products, industrial manufacturing, e-commerce, technology, life sciences, medical device, media and communications. He has also worked with many public companies and has extensive knowledge of SEC reporting rules. He has led the audits of many public and private companies in Southern California.A true icon in the accounting field, Mazza also provides guidance and leadership for the firm’s culture, diversity and inclusion programs. He is an active mentor and ally for the firm’s employee network groups, which bring together people with diverse experiences and similar interests.
When RSM was recognized as “Team of the Year” at the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2021 Diversity, Inclusion + Equity Awards, Mazza accepted the award on behalf of the firm. “I am proud of our firm for contributing to our inclusive workplace and for championing inclusion in the community,” said Mazza. “This is a great example of the importance we place on our CDI efforts at RSM and it is not going unnoticed in our communities.”
