Classic hits station KRTH-FM (101.1) jumped to No. 1 in November, taking the top radio spot from pop music station KIIS-FM (102.7).
KRTH had a 4.9 percent listener share last month, according to the latest ratings from Arbitron Inc. That was enough to edge out KIIS, which had a 4.8 percent share. KIIS had taken back the No. 1 ranking in October after being supplanted for two months by news-talk station KFI-AM (640).
KFI remained at No. 3 with a 4 percent share. Adult contemporary KOST-FM (103.5) slid into a two-way tie for fifth place with Top 40 music station KAMP-FM (97.1) with 3.7 percent share each.
KFWB-AM (980), which flipped formats in September from all news to news-talk, remained in the doldrums with 0.7 percent listenershare and a four-way tie for 38th place. In October, the station had a 0.7 percent share in a three-way tie for 38th place.
In the month before it flipped formats, KFWB had a 1 percent share and was in a six-way tie for 34th place.
