The Miracle Mile studios of CBS news and talk radio stations KNX 1070-AM and KFWB 980-AM were evacuated Tuesday morning and and the stations’ broadcasts disrupted for roughly two hours after a report of a suspicious package at their Wilshire Boulevard office building.

Police were called to 5670 Wilshire Boulevard around 8:24 a.m. after the report about the package according local CBS and NBC websites. The item was found beeping in the building’s second-floor lobby, reportedly near the studios of music station KTWV 94.7-FM, also known as The Wave.

Building tenants were evacuated shortly after. KNX sports anchor Randy Kerdoon tweeted to his followers to “stay tuned while bomb squad checks out ticking”. The package was eventually determined to contain a clock and building tenants were allowed to return around 10:50 a.m.

KNX temporarily broadcast from sister station KCBS-740 in the San Francisco Bay Area during the evacuation, KFWB was broadcasting from a backup feed. The office building also is home to several law offices and the regional office of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
