Christina Chkarboul is a reporter at the Los Angeles Business Journal covering L.A. County's banking and finance scene. She follows the region's major players in private equity, venture capital and wealth management, and the deals they broker.

Before joining the Journal, Christina was a general assignment and crime reporter at Village Media in the Greater Toronto Area. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where she studied Earth science, anthropology and journalism. She served as managing editor of USC’s independent student paper, the Daily Trojan, and has interned at CalMatters, Gannett's Democrat and Chronicle, EdSource, and Crosstown.
