CO Architects
Jennifer “Jenna” Knudsen is CO Architects’ first female leader and its youngest in the firm’s 35-year history. For nearly 20 years, Knudsen championed CO’s technology-in-practice efforts to design healthcare, scientific, and complex institutional buildings for maximum efficiency in constructability, energy performance, operability and outstanding design. These efforts have been recognized with multiple American Institute of Architects (AIA) Technology in Architectural Practice BIM Excellence Awards.
Knudsen’s passion for technological innovation has helped keep CO at the forefront of the industry through such programs as its Virtual Operating Room Experience. This environment uses AR/VR to create a virtual operating room, where physicians can work virtually and provide feedback to help CO optimize real-world OR designs. Knudsen is a frequent speaker and presenter on Building Information Modeling enabled integrated project delivery to improve efficiency and sustainability in architecture and construction.
