Neeraj Arora
Partner
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP
As much of the world, and especially California, moves forward with ambitious goals to boost renewable energy production (California has set an objective of 100% commercial renewable power by 2045), Neeraj Arora has emerged as a primary contributor to the renewable industry’s growth. Notably, Arora has developed an especially strong practice in advising on a fundamental piece of the renewable energy puzzle: storage.
Arora wrote one of the first articles about financing energy storage, which appeared in Project Finance magazine. Storage on the industrial scale that utilities require is expensive and calls for skilled legal, contractual, and funding advice in order to be constructed and operated efficiently and profitably. An advocate of project financing, which in his Project Finance article he called the “new frontier” for storage projects, Arora has worked on multiple aspects of some of the most significant storage projects now operating anywhere.
