Chris Lovrien moved to Los Angeles in 2003, and was fortunate to bring his burgeoning legal practice with him – moving as an associate from Jones Day’s office in Washington, D.C., to its Los Angeles office. After five years, Lovrien was admitted to Jones Day’s partnership in 2008. His business acumen was immediately requested by firm leadership. He was given the monumental task of preparing a strategic plan for the firm’s growth and brand awareness across the entire state of California, in which the firm has five offices.
As a result of his leadership, Lovrien was selected as the head of Jones Day’s Los Angeles office in 2011, making him, at 38, one of the youngest lawyers to ever lead one of the firm’s offices. In 2015, he was elevated to partner-in-charge of Jones Day’s California Region. He played a key role in Jones Day’s growth in the state.
