Dimitry Krol maintains an entertainment employment and labor practice focusing on matters involving guild, union, and other production related employment issues. Dimitry regularly advises clients on guild and union obligations and legal concerns which may arise during all phases of theatrical, television, commercial, new media and interactive productions. He guides clients through complex guild and labor issues related to project distribution, residuals and benefit obligations, advertising and influencer promotions, compliance and production safety, minors and foreign talent, in addition to human resources and employment concerns. Additionally, Dimitry represents clients in guild and union negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations with the WGA, SAG-AFTRA, DGA, AFM, IATSE, and Teamsters.
With an employment litigation background where he represented plaintiffs and defendants alike in individual and class action claims, Dimitry also advises clients on labor and employment matters outside the sphere of entertainment law including claims for wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, failure to accommodate, misappropriation of trade secrets, workers compensation benefits as well as wage and hour violations. Dimitry also provides training seminars to clients regarding harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and bullying to provide education on employment and labor laws and to effectuate change in the entertainment industry.
