Ellia Thompson is a partner at Ervin Cohen & Jessup and serves on the firm’s five-member Executive Committee. She chairs the firm’s Land Use practice.
Thompson advocates for the rights of property owners, business owners, and developers all across Southern California. She works with real estate developers to craft the best project possible in terms of design, functionality, and compatibility with the neighborhood, and works with all stakeholders including elected officials, local businesses, neighborhood groups, charity organizations, and neighbors to achieve project approval. She understands that a successful outcome is more than building a project, it is about building a solid, positive reputation in each of the communities she serves. In addition to her law practice, Ellia also volunteers for a number of non-profit and charitable organizations and has also been honored by Connect LA and the Junior Chamber of Commerce for her commitment to community service by providing pro bono land use legal services to the Downtown Women’s Center and its homeless women.
