Jason S. Kim is a deal lawyer. His practice focuses on representing domestic and foreign companies, financial institutions, funds, serial entrepreneurs, and high net‐worth individuals in corporate and real estate transactions and related financing with special emphasis on cross‐border deals within the 50 states and internationally. His deals in the 50 states involve foreign buyers, PEs and banks.
Kim’s representative matters include issuer‐side representation of a Korean airline in connection with the private placement offering of unsecured bonds ($200 Million) and investor-side representation of a Korean social, on-line gaming company in connection with acquiring controlling interest in a U.S. social, on-line gaming company ($130 Million). Among other successful cases, Kim provided buy-side representation of a Chinese automotive company’s purchase of a research and development center ($15.5 Million). In 2016 and 2017, Kim was named Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Asian Business Association. He also serves as a Director on the Board of Directors of U.S.‐Korea Law Foundation.
