Dr. John Moriarty is director of UCLA Health’s program for interventional innovation and co-director of the vascular ultrasound service at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. He is an associate professor of radiology and of medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Moriarty’s specializes in painstaking, image-guided procedures to address venous disease and large clots blocking blood flow to the lungs and heart. Examples include deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, right heart clots and arteriovenous venous malformations, or abnormal connection between arteries and veins.
