Kiyoshi William Smith has been an emerging leader at Armanino since he joined the firm. He is currently a tax manager specializing in the cannabis industry, providing tax compliance for privately held businesses and individuals. This pivot comes after establishing his career in US and global transfer pricing and domestic tax compliance.
Since joining Armanino, Smith has played a leading role in building out the firm’s cannabis non-income tax practice, serves as a core member of the firm’s cannabis practice in the marketplace within the industry and has demonstrated industry leadership through sharing his expertise. For example, he recently hosted a business license and compliance event focused on getting basic compliance information out to social equity and smaller providers in the cannabis space. Smith has been a key leader and advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion as part of Armanino’s IDEAL (Inclusion of Diverse Employees and Leaders) team.
