Victor De la Cruz, the leader of Manatt’s land use practice group, has become recognized as a leading land use and government attorneys in Los Angeles. Widely sought out for complex and controversial projects at the intersection of law and government, De la Cruz has played a key role in shaping the LA landscape. Projects have included Kilroy’s Academy Square project in Hollywood; the Related Companies’ Century condominium high-rise tower in Century City; and just last year, on behalf of Mount Saint Mary’s University, securing unanimous planning commission and city council approval of the University’s Wellness Pavilion, the first development project approved at the University’s Brentwood campus in almost four decades.
In the government contracts realm, De la Cruz has represented Live Nation in its bid to operate both the Greek Theatre and the Hollywood Bowl; and major duty-free and food and beverage concessionaires at Los Angeles International Airport.
