Minh-Van Do is a complex commercial litigator with trial and appellate experience in both state and federal court. She is an experienced white-collar defense attorney and has represented individuals and large institutions in government investigations; has substantial experience in banking and finance litigation; has represented companies and individuals in various business disputes; and has represented numerous global financial institutions in disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, and federal securities violations.
Among Do’s successes, she represented Peninsula Hotel Beverly Hills against Waldorf-Astoria Hotel Beverly Hills in a more than $50 million trade secret theft case in which the hotly contested litigation against three law firms settled right before trial. She also spearheaded LA County’s enforcement of Governor Newsom’s COVID-19 emergency health orders. She defended LA County in an 11 day federal jury trial involving photographs taken by County personnel following the tragic helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant and his daughter.
