Frost Brown Todd AlvaradoSmith, LLP

Jerry Ruiz began his legal career as deputy legislative counsel working on public school finance matters with the California Legislature for two years before relocating to Texas to work on real estate and corporate matters as an associate attorney in a small business law firm. He then returned to California to handle real estate and business transactions with a Stockton law firm for eight years. In 1993, Ruiz moved to Los Angeles to join a large diversified financial institution’s law department supporting its corporate real estate group.

Ruiz returned to private law practice 14 years ago with AlvaradoSmith, where he is co-chair of the firm’s Real Estate Practice and is active in community and economic development initiatives across Southern California. He recently negotiated and documented a 10-year $10 million renewal of a lease of office and industrial premises in the Valley for a global leader in connected car technology.
