Josie Leinart started her career as an actress (Josie Loren) and starred in more than 23 professional television and film projects, including her role as Kaylie Cruz in the ABC Family series Make It or Break It and as FBI agent Michelle Vega in the CBS series The Mentalist. She became interested in law a few years after she graduated from UCLA and stayed in touch with long-time friend Tasha Schwikert, a former Olympic gymnast who became a lawyer. Â Leinart attended Loyola Law School and two years after she graduated, Schwikert invited her to join her law firm, Munck Wilson Mandala.
Leinart began working as a corporate and sports lawyer with the firm in January 2021. Â Since joining, she has handled several multimillion-dollar real estate transactions for the corporate practice, including her involvement in the successful closing of Tyler Technologies acquiring NIC Inc. in a $2.3 billion all-cash transaction.
