Early Sullivan Wright Gizer & McRae
Devin McRae routinely represents A-list talent in contested litigation matters, including Shannen Doherty in a highly publicized insurance coverage bad faith action against State Farm. The suit claims that Doherty was forced to pay out of pocket after her home was severely damaged by the Woolsey Fire. The case, which highlights how State Farm failed its insureds after a catastrophe while spending massive amounts on celebrity endorsements, is set for jury trial in July 2021. McRae also represented Federal Trade Commission attorney and screenwriter Nick May in a lawsuit alleging that “Ozark” co-creator Mark Williams wrongfully claimed a writing credit on the upcoming Liam Neeson film “Blacklight.” The case was settled with McRae’s client receiving complete relief sought in the action. McRae also handled a now-settled lawsuit filed by event production company Todo Productions regarding unpaid services.
