Jon Blanchard founded BLVD Hospitality in 2008, and after spearheading downtown Los Angeles’ first adaptive reuse hospitality project with the renovation of the historic United Artists’ Building and Theatre into the award winning Ace Hotel, Jon set his sights on the rekindled LA hospitality development renaissance. BLVD, under the vision of Blanchard, is responsible for some of LA’s most transformative projects from the Arts District’s Soho Warehouse to LA’s first modular construction high rise for citizenM hotels. Blanchard and the BLVD team are in development on multiple other lifestyle hospitality projects throughout the region, in addition to recently acquiring one of LA’s most iconic hotels – The Georgian in Santa Monica. Jon is a cofounder of LA fast-casual restaurant chain Chicas Tacos, and he sits on the hospitality and tourism committee for the Central City Association.Jon is inspired by visionaries such as Walt Disney and Howard Hughes, and he has had a lifelong passionate interest in how aviation, locomotion, and hospitality have shaped the world.
