Over the last several years, pediatric gastroenterologist Dr. Barry Steinmetz represented the physician voice on a steering committee that helped design and plan work flows and processes for a brand new 80,000 square foot building on the Miller Children’s & Women’s campus that would transform the way that specialized outpatient pediatric care would be offered to children across the region. The new building opened in Feb. 2021, and is the only building of its kind in LA County, offering a one-stop-shop approach to specialized outpatient care for kids.
