Chris Sacca is an accomplished venture investor, entrepreneur and adviser. He founded Lowercase Capital in 2009, an investment and advisory firm that has a portfolio of more than 80 technology startups, as well as a number of mature businesses. Sacca, who in 2017 announced he would retire from venture investing, became widely known for his early investments in tech ventures such as Twitter and Uber. Other high-profile bets include Instagram and Kickstarter. Prior to starting Lowercase, Sacca worked as head of special initiatives at Google Inc., where he founded and led the company’s Access unit and spearheaded many of its business development and M&A deals. Sacca’s career includes working as an attorney at Silicon Valley law firm Fenwick & West, where he handled venture capital, M&A, and licensing transactions for technology clients. Sacca has an estimated net worth of $1.1 billion and is No. 56 on the Los Angeles Business Journal’s list of Wealthiest Angelenos. Sacca has served as an associate fellow of the Said Business School at Oxford University and as an MIT Enterprise Forum global trustee.
