Co-Founder and Partner
Larson O’Brien
THE LATEST: Larson's clients are in entertainment, technology, financial services, real estate, health care, and energy and natural resources. He represents former USC water polo coach Jovan Vavic in the "Varsity Blues" college admissions scandal, and an Academy Award winner in a contract dispute with a producer. He also served as the special master and discovery referee in opioid litigation brought by various jurisdictions in California against pharmaceutical makers.
BACKGROUND: Larson founded Larson O&Brien with Robert O'Brien in 2016. The firm represents individuals, government entities and businesses in trials, appeals, arbitrations and internal investigations. Larson represented witnesses in investigations into Russian election interference. He was a federal prosecutor from 1991 to 2000, serving as chief of the organized crime section of the U.S. Attorney's Office in Los Angeles. He then spent nearly 10 years as a federal judge, serving as both a U.S. magistrate judge and a U.S. district judge, appointed by President George W. Bush.
