Real estate businessman Steve Soboroff serves as president of the Los Angeles Police Commission. He is also a trustee of the Weingart Foundation, chairman of the board of Friends of Expo Center and a director of the Macerich Company. Soboroff is also chairman of the Leavey Center for the Study of Los Angeles at Loyola Marymount University, a member of the advisory board at the UCLA School of Public Affairs and a member of the board of councilors at the USC School of Planning and Public Policy. He previously served as vice chairman of the Los Angeles Dodgers, chief executive of Playa Vista, president of the Los Angeles Recreation and Parks Commission, a member of the Los Angeles Harbor Commission and senior adviser to Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan.
